In the heart of the mesmerizing rolling fields, lived a shepherd boy. His being was mostly pure, simple, and honest. His primary duty was mainly to care for his herd of rams.

The boy giggled at the puzzle on their faces. This trick continued here for a few days more. Yet, one day, a real wolf actually charge at the herd. The shepherd boy ran for help, shouting “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, no one showed up.

Frustrated and alone, the boy struggled against the wolf but managed to protect only few of his sheep. Devastated, he returned to the village only to be met with a lesson on honesty and the consequences of false alarms.

The story of this shepherd boy has been handed down generations as a mediaeval parable to teaching the importance of honesty, the consequences of lying and the perils of false alarms. Moreover, it highlights how trust once violated, is difficult to reclaim. It's a story as relevant today as it was in the past.
